An overflowing crowd at The Villages Clubhouse
on Apr. 5 sat in rapt attention to hear author
Marjorie Hart present excerpts from her best-selling
book Summer at Tiffany. Hart amused us with
anecdotes about her struggles to complete and publish
her memoir. Over 50,000 copies of Summer at
Tiffany have been sold and it is in its ninth printing.
Summer at Tiffany is Hart's memoir of the summer
of 1945 when she worked at Tiffany in New
York City. "Summer at Tiffany offers a rare behind the scenes peek at the iconic store, where Marlene
Dietrich, newlyweds Judy Garland and Vincent
Minnelli, a steady stream of the 400 and "Old Mad
Tiffany" himself, (Charles Lewis Tiffany II) come
through the door..." from BOOKPAGE.
Summer at Tiffany books were won by Phyllis
Roberts and Pat Eidler. A Tiffany Vase was won by
Nancy Goodwillie. Every attendee received a petite
gift bag compliments of ~ A Personal Care Boutique ~ featuring "Anoush...botanicals and organics."
Barnes and Noble sold out all the copies of Summer at Tiffany they had on hand.
